Smart STEM Squad

Three little engineers. Two curious kittens. A whole world of things to build.

Pippa draws the plan, Builder Boy builds it and Tuki tests it. Every episode is a real little problem solved in four steps, so kids learn how things work by watching friends figure it out.

Every problem has four steps.

The Squad’s garden is full of real little problems: a puddle in the way, a wobbly tower, a path that won’t hold. Pippa’s Magic Blueprint lifts her drawing off the page, but it only shows the plan. The friends still have to measure, build and test.

When something goes wrong, nobody gives up. They ask why, fix it and test again. Bolt and Mochi are always the first to try it out.

“Measure it. Build it. Test it. Make it strong.”

How the Squad builds

Four steps. Every episode.

Whatever the problem, the Squad works through it the same way, so kids can follow along and try it themselves.

  1. Tuki stretching a yellow measuring tape across the puddle 1Measure

    Measure it

How long? How deep? How far? Tuki measures first, so the plan fits the problem.

  2. Builder Boy and Pippa laying a wooden plank between two stones 2Build it

    Build it

Pippa draws the plan and Builder Boy builds it, one piece at a time.

  3. Bolt and Mochi tussling on the new plank bridge 3Test it

    Test it

Bolt and Mochi try it out. A wobble or a sag isn’t a failure. It’s a clue.

  4. A glowing new support leg under the middle of the bridge 4Make it strong

    Make it strong

The Squad fixes what went wrong and tests again until it holds.

The big why

Every build asks why?

When something wobbles, sags or tips over, the Squad stops to work out why. That one simple science idea, like “heavy things push down”, is the part kids take away.

Ask why. Fix it. Test again.

Meet the Squad

A designer, a builder, a tester.

Every build needs all three, plus two kittens who can’t wait to try it.

An orchid in her braid and a measuring tape in her pocket. Tuki checks how long, how deep and how strong.

Bolt the ginger kitten and Mochi the cream kitten
Kittens

Bolt & Mochi

A ginger kitten and a cream kitten: always hungry, always curious and always first to try every build.

Your turn

Every episode ends with a mission.

Try the four steps at home with a grown-up helper. Here’s the mission from Episode 1: build a tiny bridge for your toys with books, cardboard and a toy car.

  1. 1 · Measure

Put two books apart and measure the gap with a ruler or a piece of string.

  2. 2 · Build

Lay a strip of cardboard across so it rests on both books.

  3. 3 · Test it

Drive a toy car across. Does the middle sag?

  4. 4 · Make it strong

Put a block under the middle and test again. What changed?

Then tell the Squad what they should build next in the YouTube comments.
